Susan not on TV
April 13th, 2011
I’m sad to say that Susan’s photos did not appear on Between The Sheets’ episode on All on the Line last night. At least that I saw. Correct me if I’m wrong. Still, exposure for BTS can only lead to increased exposure for Susan.
As far as the episode goes, it really did nothing to improve my view of reality TV. I suppose Joe Zee had a valid perspective on suggesting an outerwear line. But why was it his ONLY suggestion? Basically he decided that he either was unwilling or unable to help Layla with her lingerie and dug his toes in on the only thing he apparently could think of. And to Layla, that was basically, “OK, nobody in the entire world is capable of making money selling only lingerie, so why don’t you scrap all your education and experience and start designing outerwear! Because that’s my only idea! Aren’t I awesome? Aren’t you like, soooo privileged that I’m shelling this single-mindedness your way? BOOM shaka laka! Take it or leave it and if you leave it you’re a loser and you’ve ruined my reputation forever with Neiman Marcus.”
So whatever. It’s really not about helping out designers. It’s about squeezing as much drama drama drama as possible into 45 minutes. It was pretty ballsy of Layla to stick to her guns and I admire her for it. I’d totally have sold out, but I’m kind of financially insecure that way.
There are several more really beautiful photos of Susan at Layla’s website. Click the link.
New photos of Susan Coffey at LaylaLobatti.com.
I’ll eventually put them in our galleries, but for now, drive your browser-car to her website.
The end.
