I don’t know where I’ve been for the past uhh… six years? But apparently September 29th is International Coffee Day. That’s coffee, not coffey. I realize you’ve probably forgotten the difference, but coffee without a Y is this bitter drink made from steeping crushed up beans in hot water. Sounds kinda gross, right? I mean seriously, why celebrate something so weird when Susan is extraordinarily under-celebrated as it is?

But whatever. I felt I would be remiss by not noting this very American “international” holiday. And to commemorate it (and to bring it ’round to where it belongs), I’ve posted the well-known, classic photo above by Brandon Herman.

And don’t forget the old adage: “Why bother with Y-less coffee?”

I swear we’re not turning into a wallpaper site. I don’t think. And what if we are? What’s so bad about that? Anyway, I’m quite astonished by what you guys come up with. When I thought of creating wallpaper, I thought, “I need to find photos that are aready giant enough to be a wallpaper and slap a bit of text on them. Voila!” But as it turns out, that’s kinda pathetic. And these new oness are every bit as awesome as the others that have been submitted and a thousand times better than the one I put in there at first. Way to go guys.

While we continue to wait patiently for the next set of beauty-defining, reality-defying, devotion-inspiring images, why don’t you go express your admiration on her DeviantArt page? You might think that she’s too busy to read those notes, but I think you might be wrong about that. You might think that she gets enough compliments or encouragements as it is, but there’s never too much of that, is there?

Go get your eloquence on. Don’t do it because you want an answer from her. Do it because you like to hear that kinda stuff, too. If you don’t have a dA, make one. Explore your artistic side. Create and post. And in the process, you can get notifications when Susan puts something on her page.
