Daily Susan #30 – Who needs turkey?
November 25th, 2010
We here in the US of A are celebrating a special day today. It’s a day that’s near to my heart because one of my direct ancestors was there when it first happened. In fact, he kind of led the whole thing. Plus, it’s one of those things that’s good for the soul, to remember the really good stuff, which I have a tendency to forget to do most times.
What am I thankful for? Even if I were to tell you, it wouldn’t mean much to you, so I’m saving it for myself. BUT, I will tell you about my IDEAL Thanksgiving. It begins with sinking deep into a large, round, soft pillow with Susan Coffey. That’s how it ends, too. And whilst we’re there we laugh at turkeys and football and fucking CONTEMPTUOUS crowds at Black Friday sales, and then we forget about all of them and forget to eat at all and resolve to spend time with family very soon indeed, because this holiday is already booked quite solid.
The End.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. While it’s fun to dream, don’t forget to focus on what’s truly importante today and tell someone you love them. If you don’t love anyone, go find a stranger and lie. If you’re any good, they won’t know the difference and you’ll have made their day. Or scared the shit out of them.

ps. One of the things I’m thankful for is the experience I’m having with this website. I’m thankful for Susan and thankful for all of you who are coming to visit here to learn more about her and stare at her like catatonic zombies.
